Frequently Asked Questions

  • Your sessions will always be one-on-one and individualized. As a clinician, I’ve heard countless client experiences with providers who didn’t listen, didn’t understand their symptoms or goals, rushed visits, provided cookie-cutter programs, and ultimately weren’t able to provide improvement.

Here’s what I know: You are unique. Your time is precious, and your money is valuable! I strive to give you the most comprehensive sessions, which can include a home exercise program, wellness education, and hands-on treatment. If you are looking for a highly personalized and unique approach to therapy and wellness, look no further! Your time with me will challenge you, motivate you and keep you accountable.

  • Almost anything! Arlo’s main focus is to get active individuals back to doing everything they love. I specialize in orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapy. I have a special interest in treating pregnant & postpartum women and dancers.

  • Arlo Physical Therapy & Wellness is a cash based (or "out-of-network") therapy practice, so no insurance is accepted. Don't let this idea scare you off just yet and take a moment to learn why I believe this is the best option for you!

By eliminating insurance companies from the equation I’m able to focus on high quality, personalized therapy. It allows you to receive full 60 minute one-on-one sessions. Working out of network allows more freedom to treat your problems the way they should be treated, without the constraints of the insurance company.

Acceptable payment methods are Cash, Credit/Debit Card, Apple Pay, and HSA/FSA. It's also important to note that your insurance company MAY COVER out of network physical therapy. If this is the case, I will provide you with a super-bill after your sessions to submit to insurance via an app called Reimbursify.

  • Physical Therapy Initial Evaluation & Treatment: $200 (new clients)

I also offer treatment packages with pricing available upon request.

  • At this time, I will not be providing physical therapy evaluation and treatment without a referral until Fall 2024. Per the Minnesota PT Practice Act - Section 148.76, Subdivision 2-3b, a physical therapist must be licensed for at least one year before treating direct access patients in the state of MN.

  • Your first session will be an Initial Evaluation, which allows us to get to know each other and what your personal needs are. This includes taking your medical history, current symptoms, activity level and any goals you have. I will measure your strength, range of motion, and assess functional movements to identify any problem areas. You will be given "homework" on the first day, so that you can start your journey to a healthier lifestyle right away!

Each follow up session is tailored to your individual needs, but typically will consist of exercises to address your limitations, manual therapy (any hands on treatment such as soft tissue massage, joint alignment, etc.), and always lots of education on your current condition. You will be given a full strength and conditioning program as part of your rehab plan, and be expected to follow through with it consistently. Remember: Physical Therapy only works if YOU work!

Sessions typically last about 1 hour, and you will receive full, undivided attention! This allows us to build a strong relationship so you are meeting every goal you have for yourself!

  • This is different for every single person. We will discuss a treatment plan with you and work with you to adjust it as needed. Although there are exceptions, the majority of people see improvement in symptoms within 4-6 weeks if not sooner. There are many factors that influence this and we can discuss expectations and answer specific questions during your visit.
